Menstrual Hygiene Matters: Paxo Health & Beauty
For some women, menstruating is pure suffering while for others it’s a natural cleansing process. We may have different views towards menstruation, but every woman dreams of having her period without being too messy and to survive the day comfortably and feeling fresh. Keeping yourself clean during your period is as important as brushing your teeth or washing your hands before you eat. Whether you’re wearing a menstrual cup or a sanitary pad, keeping clean during your period is an absolute must.
Here are some basic tips (that we tend to forget and take for granted every now and then) of menstrual hygiene:
What You Wear Does Matter: Just as wearing tight panties can cause itchiness or darkness of the skin, wearing tight jeans or undies can also increase heat and can cause irritation. Wear something cotton because cotton panties are definitely comfortable and more absorbent than undergarments that are made from synthetic materials.
Washing is not an option, it’s a must: Washing your vaginal area is one of the things you normally do to stay clean and fresh. But how often do you wash it? One of the most common problems women worry about is menstrual odor. It might sound impossible to not have that menstrual smell down there all the time but why not let the air in by wearing something that’s not too tight.
It’s best to have a warm shower to help calm your nerves and ease your cramps. If you’re using a sanitary pad, make sure that you’re completely dry to avoid bacterial growth. Use towels made of cotton so as to not irritate your skin.
The purpose of following the basic tips above is basically not only to eliminate unwanted menstrual odor but also to avoid any infection that might lead to serious illnesses.
Have a comfy period!
