Any discoloration of the skin is known as pigmentation. The evidence of pigmentation is those darker patches or color on your skin. Although, this is completely harmless and faced by both feminine and masculine gender. It is expedient to note, that Sun damage is the most common cause of skin pigmentation and usually affects the parts of the body that are most frequently exposed to the sun.  When the skin is exposed, the pigment forms a deposit in the skin, it causes pigmentation or hyper pigmentation. In order to prevent hyper pigmentation from forming in the skin in the first place, avoid picking at spots, scabs, and acne after an injury. However, there are wonderful preventive measures and remedies to hyper pigmentation:

Effective use of SPF 30 daily: Age spots, freckles, breakout and other areas of existing hyper pigmentation are all created and encouraged by UV light and excess exposure to sun. Any change to skin colour is evidence of skin damage. Avoid activating your pigment production in skin; it is important that you practice the proper application of SPF 30 by using it in the morning before exposing your skin to the sun.

Make use of products that are organic in nature: Due to the commonness of hyper pigmentation and the potential of the medical treatments to irritate your skin, taking natural preventive measure is also paramount. This is on the basis of using product that is organic in nature which contained   Glycolic acid and Salicylic acid. The products in the like of Tea Tree, Avocado, Cucumber, Aloe Vera, Apricot etc. can be very useful in eliminating pigments that are build up in the skin.

Exfoliate Regularly:  Exfoliation is beneficial for breaking up the pigmented cells to allow them to fade. Combined with a skin-lightening agent. Exfoliation will help accelerate the fading process. Ensure use facial scrubs that use gentle round beads and mild-exfoliating acid, Tea tree facial scrub, charcoal facial scrub, gentle to skin facial scrub etc. These exfoliants, when used properly and regularly, can help break pigmented cells apart, which will lessen their appearance.
